A Must Read Article on Communitarianism

This article by Nikki Raapana is one of the most important lessons into the Communitarian agenda, I have seen.

Silent coup, holy coup, all are tricked, all are duped,
Round Green Virgin kills mother and child,
Holy infanticide, death with a smile,
Die in heavenly peace, die so the planet can breathe.

Just as Jesus was born on a silent night, Communitarianism was born of a silent coup. But now, after centuries of quiet obscurity, Communitarians are popping up everywhere! They too have risen!

Communitarianism is the miracle ideology! It's the New World Religion. It's the New World Justice. It's the New World Constitution. It's the New World Policing. It's the New Human Rights. It's Big Mother! Everyone loves it. How can we not? Gosh golly, even the Pope said Communitarianism is God's plan.

Communitarianism, according to the Communitarians, is the final, perfect stage of human social evolution. Anyone who does not embrace the Communitarian Goddess is an unevolved heretic. Read more

The Anti Communitarian League

Niki Rapaana, along with her daughter Nordica Friedrich are the founders of the ACL and authors of the "Anti Communitarian Manifesto"
Niki got into a spat with the local government in Seattle USA and now lives in a community of yurt dwellers in Alaska.

The basic thesis of the ACL is that "Communitarianism" is the "synthesis" of the Left/Right or East/West dialectic.
Sounds straightforward enough but even those who studied Hegel at university, struggle to grasp the basic tenets of the dialectical process. Maybe you have to escape before you can see it properly, maybe you need a different perspective, from the outside looking in as it were.

Here is Niki talking about some aspects of Communitarianism.

Clearly, this dialectic is unfinished, we still have such strong left v right rhetoric on a national level (evident with the death of Thatcher) Internationally we can see the same opposing ideologies played out in the Korean Crisis.

I always realised that opting out of the system was never really an option. That I simply would not be allowed to build a house of the side of a hill somewhere and live off the fruit of the land, minding my own business. All the land belongs to someone and as soon as I had any resources to live off, they would be taxed. Niki shows the kind of extremes that it is necessary to go to for such a lifestyle. It can be -30 degrees for weeks at a time in Anchorage.

While I am on this topic, it is worth noting that there is a convergence of thought/belief with Communitarianism (or one of its alternative appellations) and the philosophy of the New Age or New World Order. Which really equates to a reconstituted Babylonian civilisation. Sounds too far out but they say that "Fact is stranger than fiction"

Red Nose Day: The Caring face of Communitarianism

I can't take Red Nose Day seriously any more. Here is why.

In relation to projects in Britain, people are giving money to help socially disadvantaged individuals who should be supported through the taxation system. instead of out tax pennies going into the bottomless pit of failed bank's balance sheets.
The gradual removal of the welfare system causes more domestic hardship, particularly those who are seriously ill, having benefits stopped by ATOS, than can ever be cured by buying red noses. And we are meant to feel guilty that we should be helping  more, when in reality, our government is "rolling us over".

The other side of Red Nose Day which deals with the plight of people in the "Third world", really hits the "guilt button" because was are mostly sitting in comfortable houses watching extreme poverty on flat screen TVs while we enjoy tea and biscuits.

As individuals, we are not responsible for the plight of the starving nations.
Collectively, we have a responsibility, but when our government decides to spend the aid budget on "peacekeeping", IE tanks and soldiers, I get the impression that those who really need the help, are unlikely to get it.

The ones who are able to fix this mess, are the ones who caused it. Criminals from the worlds of business and government. I say criminals because they lie and cheat, they steal, and even kill, by their actions.

The way I see it, this farce is one of the caring faces of Communitarianism,  Big Society, Political Correctness, Transformational Marxism, Common Purpose. or whatever you wish to call it.
